How to properly care for your Harper & Jones garments

To get the best life out of your menswear, follow these simple rules…

Shirts

OUR SERVICES & CORE VALUES

  • Do not starch or use any chemicals on any shirt unless necessary to remove stain.

  • The best care for shirts is to launder them in room temperature water and immediately hand press with a hot iron at home or a Dry Cleaner.

  • The buttons are real mother of pearl and can easily break with heavy machinery. Dry Cleaners should be held responsible for breaking buttons.

  • Dry Cleaning is the second best method when hand pressing is not an option.

Suits

OUR SERVICES & CORE VALUES

  • Spot clean as needed.

  • Dry clean once a year.

  • Mother of pearl buttons should be protected by the Dry Cleaner.
Contact us if you need more buttons.

Alterations

OUR SERVICES & CORE VALUES

  • Suits can be let out slightly if you gain weight, however shirts cannot be altered.

  • Suits can properly be let in if you lose weight (less than 20 lbs).

  • Do not trust any tailor to alter your garments. 99% of tailors are not qualified to alter jackets. Contact your personal WC for help with this.
